About Us
Ashington Camers Club presently has about fifty members, who meet at 7:00pm – 9:00pm on a Thursday evening. New members of any skill level are always welcome, and you can visit three times, free of charge, to see if we’re right for you.
You can join us at:
St Aidan’s Community Hall,
Park Road Ashington.
NE63 8DZ.
Apart from a break at Christmas the club runs all year round.
We offer a range of interesting and interactive evenings which include photography competitions, both in themed and open categories, in print format and also in Projected Digital Images (PDI’s).
We hold regular portrait sessions using professional grade studio equipment to photograph a wide range of interesting characters.
We also run dedicated sessions aimed at beginner and intermediate levels, so if you ever wonder why you should switch your camera away from full automatic mode, or simply want to hone your creative skills, this is the place for you.
Ashington Camera Club is a member of the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF) and affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
We take part in inter-club competitions with other photography clubs in the local area.
We often welcome guest speakers who showcase their work and take questions from members.
